After the first burn, trim wick to ΒΌ inch each time before lighting again. This will give the best burn time to the bottom of jar and prevent jar from blackening. Place on a heat resistant surface within sight while burning. Do not burn in drafty area, near ceiling fans or near anything that could catch on fire. Use caution when handling container--it may be hot. Burn for only 2-3 hrs at a time.
