After the first burn, trim wick to ¼ inch each time before lighting again. This will give the best burn time to the bottom of jar and prevent jar from blackening. Place on a heat resistant surface within sight while burning. Do not burn in drafty area, near ceiling fans or near anything that could catch on fire. Use caution when handling container--it may be hot.
